How to make AI sound like you (not like AI)

You've read it before you could name it: the over-balanced tone, the "it's important to note," the sentences that all land the same length, the opinion that never quite commits. That's the AI voice, and it's the fastest way to make writing feel hollow — even when the ideas underneath are good.

The fix isn't a tool, it's a few real sentences

The voice-match move is simple: paste 3-5 sentences you've actually written, ask AI to match that voice specifically, and tell it to cut the generic tells and keep any opinion you stated instead of softening it into "on one hand, on the other." That's it — no special app required.

Keep a small file of "you," reuse it forever

The one habit that makes this fast: keep a running note of 10-15 sentences that sound unmistakably like you — a text, an email, a caption — and paste it in every time you need a voice match. It becomes a permanent style reference instead of a one-off ask.

Make it standing, not per-chat

Better still, set this up once as a standing persona — your voice, your rules, your context — so every new conversation starts already sounding like you, instead of re-teaching it from a blank page each time.

For a business voice that needs to stay consistent across a whole team and every channel, AIKit keeps one locked-in brand voice and writes everything in it automatically.
